Sustainable travel vouchers to help you on your way
In 2018, 29% of all of Devon’s carbon emissions came from on-road transport, making it the leading contributor to our county’s carbon footprint. But the great thing is, we can all help to change this.
This scheme is now closed. In 2022, we sent residents in eligible developments a Travel Information Pack which included the following vouchers:
- £100 Cycle voucher
- Exeter Flexi10 Bus voucher
- £50 Train voucher
- 600 minutes free Co Bikes voucher (PLEASE NOTE: For residents of Bishops Court Quarry, Expressions and Mayfield Gardens developments only)

Cycle voucher
This scheme is now closed.
Cycle voucher – terms and conditions:
- You must bring some proof of address to redeem your voucher.
- Only one cycle voucher can be redeemed per household.
- The cycle voucher was valid until 1 April 2023. This scheme is now closed.
- The cycle voucher can only be redeemed at participating cycle stores.
- The cycle voucher can only be redeemed in a single transaction and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- The cycle voucher is provided by Devon County Council and delivered by WSP.
- Devon County Council reserves the right to cancel the cycle voucher at any time or change the terms and conditions above.

Bus voucher
The voucher in your Travel Information Pack has no monetary value and is for promotional purposes only.
In order to claim your Exeter Flexi10 bus voucher, first you must be a registered user of the Stagecoach Bus app, which can be downloaded for free from the app store on your mobile device. Alternatively, please see the link below to access the app:

Once you have downloaded the app, please set up an account as prompted. Once registered, please email DevonTravelPacks@wsp.com confirming the email address that you have used which will enable the voucher to be gifted to your account.
- A Stagecoach Flexi10 bus ticket gives the rider 10 Exeter DayRiders for the price of 7. These can be used at any time in 12 months from the date of purchase.
- A Stagecoach Flexi10 bus ticket is valid for unlimited travel on all Stagecoach services in Exeter. The Exeter zone is bounded by Cowley Bridge, Pennsylvania, Broadclyst, Cranbrook, Exeter Airport & Business Park, Crealy Park, Clyst St George (George & Dragon), Exminster, Kennford, Peamore Lodge, Alphington, Crossmead and Exwick
- Once purchased, your tickets must be activated and used within 12 months. Any unused tickets will expire and cannot be used.
- Once activated, mobile tickets are valid until 04:00 on the day after activation.
- Flexi10 bus tickets are not valid on special contract services.
- Only one voucher can be redeemed per household
Using mobile tickets:
Travel is only permitted where evidence of a valid ticket can be provided to the driver as you board the vehicle. It is your responsibility to ensure your phone battery has enough power to last your journey. If you are not able to power your phone to show your ticket to the driver then you will be required to purchase another ticket for your journey.

Great Western Railway (GWR) e-voucher
The voucher in your Travel Information Pack has no monetary value and is for promotional purposes only. One e-voucher code can be claimed per household.
How to redeem your GWR e-voucher
GWR E-vouchers can be used to buy tickets at www.gwr.com for any journey booked before April 2023 (please note this scheme has now closed). Once obtained, follow the steps below to redeem your GWR e-voucher:
- Visit gwr.com and click on My Account at the top of the screen.
- If you have already created an account with GWR, please login using your details when prompted. If you have not previously created an account, please click on Create a new account.
- Once signed in, please click on View eVouchers, then Add your e-voucher
- Enter your unique 25-digit voucher code and click Add.
- Redeem your voucher code on GWR services throughout the South West!
Your train tickets can then be collected from your chosen station or downloaded as an e-Ticket before you travel.
PLEASE NOTE:
- The voucher can be redeemed in multiple transactions. When the value is loaded on to the individuals GWR account it will act as a credit to buy tickets against up until the expiration date.
- If you’re collecting your tickets from one of our machines:
- If the e-voucher covers the entire cost, you can use any payment card as ID. However, if it only covers part of the cost, you will need to use the card you paid with online to pay the remainder.
- Remember to take your booking reference number with you. Alternatively, you can select an e-ticket and download your tickets before you travel.

Co Bikes voucher
This scheme is now closed.
- To use Co Bikes, you will need to download and register with the nextbike app which is available from the App and Play stores.
- To register an account with nextbike, select Exeter as the appropriate location and enter some personal information. Once registered, select ‘Add Voucher’ on the menu (accessible via the 3 bars in the top left corner of the app homescreen).
- To use Co Bikes, use the map on the app or the information within your Travel Information Pack to identify a nearby Co Bikes location.
- Once at the Co Bikes location, scan the QR code on the bike using the nextbike app to release the bike from the lock. Once you have completed your ride, make sure you finish your hire at a Co Bikes station and that you press down the framelock on the back of the bike.

Terms & Conditions
- Only valid for new customers of Co Bikes
- On entering a valid voucher code, 600 minutes credit will be added to your Co Bikes account
- Voucher code only valid for household it is issued to and is only redeemable once per customer account
- Free minutes are valid for one bike hire at a time
- Once redeemed, free minutes can be used for up to 90 days after redemption
- Free minutes must be redeemed and used on or before 31 December 2022. This scheme is now closed.
- Thereafter, to continue using Co Bikes a payment method must be associated with your account
- By redeeming this voucher, you consent to the following:
- Your trip data shared with Devon County Council
- Potentially being asked to participate in a short follow up survey either by phone or email.
- NB: any information shared with Devon County Council will be anonymised and in accordance with our privacy policy.
