Cranbook – the new town on the block
This new town is being developed in East Devon, and with new houses being built everyday Cranbrook is expanding fast. It is located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) east-north-east of Exeter city centre, just north-west of the village of Rockbeare, between the B3174 road (London Road) and the West of England Main Line railway.

Cycle September is coming to Cranbrook!
Throughout September, Devon County Council will be promoting #CycleSeptember encouraging Devon residents to cycle to work, the shops, after school activities and clubs, or just for fun.
In Cranbrook we are organising exciting cycling based activities, including:
- Free ‘Dr Bike’ bike maintenance sessions at Younghayes Centre on Saturday 2nd September and Sunday 3rd September
- Free guided rides into Exeter between Monday 11 September and Friday 15 September
- All Cranbrook residents can apply for one week free cycle hire
- Move More Week 2017
The events are in addition to Devon County Council’s annual Love to Ride Cycle September challenge which is a fun, free competition to see which workplace can get the most staff riding during the month. Last year, more than 1,600 people from across Devon took part, collectively cycling more than 182,000 miles, or the equivalent of cycling around the world over seven times.
