Shopmobility

Shopmobility

Shopmobility provides manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters to help people with limited mobility to shop and use town centre facilities. It can be used by people of any age, with temporary or permanent disabilities and is available both to residents and visitors alike. First time visitors need to register and training in the use of the vehicle will be provided.

Schemes may change a membership fee or a deposit for use of the equipment. Please refer to individual schemes for more information.

Shopmobility schemes are located next to car parks so that when passengers arrive, they are able to park and transfer directly to their vehicle. Many schemes are also close to bus services. Alternatively, ring and ride transport may be provided door to door for those requiring it.
