Stagecoach are making changes to their bus services from 20th April 2025. There are also some improvements to services funded by Devon County Council, using HM Government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding.

• Exeter City services

    • Revised timetable. Sunday daytime frequency increased to every thirty minutes using BSIP funding.
    • Evening journeys extend from the City Centre to Pennsylvania using BSIP funding.

    • Revised timetable with some early morning and evening journeys withdrawn. 
  • C Matford Park & Ride – City Centre – Sowton Park & Ride (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. A new Sunday service between Matford Park & Ride and the City Centre introduced operating every thirty minutes using BSIP funding. 
  • E City Centre – Exwick (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. Monday – Friday daytime frequency increased to every 12 minutes using BSIP funding. 
  • F1/F2 City Centre – Savoy Hill/Summerway (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable with some early morning and late afternoon journeys withdrawn. 
  • H Exeter St David’s – City Centre – Digby (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. 
  • I/J City Centre – Digby circular (Stagecoach)
    • Minor revisions to timetable. 
  • K Cowley Bridge – City Centre – Pennsylvania (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. The Monday – Friday off-peak frequency between 1000 and 1500 Is increased to every thirty minutes using BSIP funding. 
    • New Sunday service from Pennsylvania to City Centre replacing the diversion of service P using BSIP funding.
  • P Crossmead – City Centre – Pinhoe (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. Evening and Sunday journeys will no longer divert via Pennsylvania. 
  • R/S City Centre – Rifford Road circular (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. Monday – Friday daytime frequency is increased to every twenty minutes using BSIP funding. 
    • During the main part of the day Monday to Friday, a co-ordinated frequency of every 10 minutes will apply between Services I/J and R/S between Burnthouse Lane and the City Centre.  

• East Devon services

  • 4 Cranbrook – Honiton Road – City Centre – St Davids Station – University (Stagecoach) 
    • Revised timetable. Sunday service extended to University from St Davids Station. 
  • 4A Exeter St Davids Station – City Centre – Honiton Road – Exeter Airport (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable on Sundays and Public Holidays. 
  • 9/9A Exeter – Sidmouth – Honiton/Seaton (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. In Seaton, the Esplanade will no longer be served. 
    • On Sunday and Public Holidays additional BSIP funded journeys will operate between Sidmouth and Honiton.

    • Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday and Public Holiday journeys between Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton (Granary Lane) will be re-numbered 157.

    • New Sunday and Public Holiday service funded by Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership, operating until 26 October 2025 providing connections with rail services at Axminster.

• Mid Devon services

  • 1/1A Exeter – Cullompton – Tiverton (Stagecoach)
    • Services revised.  
    • Most journeys will now operate as service 1 from Cullompton via Langlands Road and Swallow Way, then direct to Exeter via Broadclyst, Pinhoe and Exeter. Daytime frequency on service 1 increases to every fifteen minutes Monday – Friday. 
    • Service 1A will operate approximately hourly from Exeter to Cullompton via Bradninch, with most journeys continuing to Willand, Halberton and Tiverton. 
    • Evening and Sunday journeys will continue to operate as service 1A. 
    • From 1st June 2025, new Saturday night journeys introduced. 
  • 5/5A/5C Exeter – Crediton – Okehampton/Chulmleigh (Stagecoach) 
    • Revised timetable. 
    • From 1st June 2025, new Saturday night journeys introduced between Exeter and Crediton 
  • X22 Tiverton – Taunton (First)
    • Revised timetable. College Day journeys from Cullompton renumbered 22C. 
  • 25 Dulverton – Taunton (First)
    • Through service from Bampton and Dulverton withdrawn except for one peak journey. 
    • Off-peak 26 service introduced operated by Somerset Council which will connect with service 25 at Wiveliscombe. 
  • 55 Exeter – Stoke Canon – Bickleigh – Tiverton (Stagecoach) 
    • Revised timetable. Monday to Friday peak frequency increased to operate every twenty minutes using BSIP funding.  
  • 343 Tiverton – Cotteylands (Dartline)
    • Dartline will take over operation of the service for Devon County Council from Stagecoach. No change to timetable. 
  • 355 Exeter – Tiverton (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable.  
    • The 0725 Monday to Friday and Saturday journey from Exeter to Tiverton and the 
    • 1745 Monday to Friday and Saturday journey from Tiverton to Exeter will be operated by Dartline and serve Exeter Sidwell Street Stop 40 instead of the Bus Station. 
    • 0630 Monday to Friday journey from Tiverton to Exeter will be re-numbered 55.

    • Evening journeys between North Devon District Hospital and Barnstaple Bus Station will be replaced by journeys on Service 155.  
  • 21 Barnstaple – Westward Ho! via Bideford (Stagecoach)
    • Revised timetable. There will now be a coordinated frequency of every 15 minutes between Barnstaple and Northam during off-peak hours on Mondays to Fridays. 
    • Last evening journey from Westward Ho! to Bideford is withdrawn. 
    • From 1st June 2025, new Saturday night journeys introduced between Barnstaple and Bideford 
  • 21A Barnstaple – Appledore via Bideford (Stagecoach)

    • Revised timetable. Additional Summer Saturday journey at 1750 from Barnstaple to Woolacombe will be introduced until 25 October 2025.

    • Summer Sunday service re-starts with an earlier departure from Barnstaple and a later departure from Lynmouth until 14 September 2025.
