Night buses have arrived in Devon!
From 31 May 2025, Stagecoach are operating night services on key routes across their network. These will operate on Saturday nights/early Sunday mornings until 20 December, as well as factory Friday and New Years Eve.

Night services will be operating on the following routes across Devon:
- 1: Plymouth – Tavistock via Derriford Hospital and Yelverton
- 1A: Exeter – Cullompton via Broadclyst and Bradninch
- 2: Exeter – Dawlish via Exminster and Starcross
- 5: Exeter – Crediton via Newton St Cyres
- 21: Barnstaple – Bideford via Yelland
- 21B: Barnstaple – Ilfracombe via Braunton
- 57: Exeter to Exmouth via Topsham

Single tickets will cost no more than £3. If you’re making multiple journeys after 7pm, you could save money with a Stagecoach Niterider ticket for £4.50.
Exeter University Night Bus service
The UNI night bus service provides a route from Exeter City Centre to Streatham Campus (Prince of Wales Road), St Davids Station and Cowley Bridge, providing a safe option back home to many student residences.
This service operates during term time on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights from midnight to 4am. This service is operated by Stagecoach with financial support from University of Exeter. The term times are as follows:
- Wednesday 24th September – Saturday 13th December 2025
- Wednesday 7th January – Saturday 28th March 2026
- Wednesday 29th April – Saturday 13th June 2026
